As you know from the many blog posts on the subject, I’ve been trying to get my printing table finished for a while now but funds have become a problem. One of my online chums recently mentioned Crowdfunder to me and when I looked at the site I couldn’t wait to add a pitch. I decided to make my pitch about setting up the first print run of three fabric designs so that’s from finishing the table to getting the fabric printed. Today I heard back from them and my pitch was approved for the site so I’ve spent the afternoon perfecting the info and deciding on rewards. You can view the whole pitch here.
Crowdfunder works by people investing money in the pitch they would like to fund, they can choose any amount of money to invest or choose a specific amount relating to a reward. The rewards can be anything you like and I had a lot of fun trying to decide what to give investors. I decided on fabric rewards in the main which means that the investors can choose what quantity they’d like, and all fabric rewards mean a nice discount on the retail cost of the fabric. Most of the pitches on the site have a top reward which nearly covers most of the funding so I decided to add one too. Mine is a sponsorship reward which means that the investor gets their name printed on the selvedge of the fabric as well as promotion when the first collection is released. Here are the rewards in full:
Invest £10 and get
Invest £20 and get
Invest £30 and get
Invest £80 and get
Invest £160 and get
Invest £1000 and get

Now I just have to hope that over the next 45 days I raise my target. Crowdfunder encourage you to fund your own bid to get the ball rolling (which I’ve just done!) so cross your fingers for me that I reach my target.
