I always knew that the week up to the fair would be hectic – I have been proved right this week!  I was frantically making all weekend and the beginning of the week.  I’ve more or less finished although I have printed up some more notebooks tonight and was thinking of printing up some tote bags tomorrow – do you think that’s a bit crazy seeing as the fair is on Saturday?  Maybe it is a little.  I always get a little frenzied before a fair, there is always that worry that you don’t have enough stock, although I always come home again with loads of things!  I always use the rule that if I sold everything on my stall I would make tonnes of money and by then I wont care if I have an empty stall!  Does that make sense?

One thing I am dissapointed about this week though is that I haven’t had time to make any purses.  I printed up some new purse panels from a new screen on Saturday and thought I was well on track but then I was struggling to find a lining I was happy about so I moved on to other priorities, as in things that could be made faster and quicker!  Here are the panels:

I really like them and I am very happy with the colours which are 3 new colour mixes I’ve done especially. Oh well, I can put them on Etsy and Artfire instead and see how they go!

I suppose they are one of a million things I mean to do when this latest fair is over – I always make big plans in the run up to fairs because it takes so much effort to prepare for them.  Talking of fairs, we had some good news yesterday!  Our Spring Fling was featured in The Times Weekend section last Saturday – how brilliant is that?  (Click on the photo below to go to the flickr page.)

We were gob-smacked when we found out – I hope it drives a few more Sheffield folk in our direction!  I probably wont have any time to post before the fair so I’ll report back on Sunday with all the Spring Fling and Plain Jane Textiles news! xx
