I’ve been a bit quiet for the past week as both me and hubby came down with some nasty virus. It only knocked him out for a day or two but I’ve felt like crap most of the week, very bad headache and head cold symptoms plus weird ear related dizziness, anyhoo, hopefully I’m over the worst of it now. Had my flu jab on Saturday too which didn’t help :)
So, what I have I been up to in-between dizzy spells? Well, about a week ago I gathered in all of the reward choices from my lovely Crowdfunder investors so the printing has begun in earnest. We’ve been doing test prints for weeks and getting used to my lovely new squeegee (which is beautiful but about twice as heavy as my smaller one) and so it was great to be able to start printing up the rewards finally.
The first batch to be printed was the Tangerine Bird Brolly.
There’s nothing quite like seeing it all in one long run of fabric, I’ve waited so long to get to this stage and it’s just amazing to finally see my fabrics this way.
The first batch has gone off to be heat set and so the rewards can start going out soon which is very exciting.
I’ve also been experimenting with some of the prints, I’m going to be making up a few items such as lampshades and cushions over the next couple of weeks, I decided to start with the Waves print so here is a test for a lovely large 40cm lampshade kit. I’ve had a really positive response to this so far, I can’t wait to start offering it as a kit in a few weeks.
