I’m not ashamed to admit I had a very different blog post planned for today, in fact I’d already written it. I was being prepared as usual, not defeatist I might add, just practical. I had a lovely thank you post written, thanking all the wonderful, generous people who had pledged money for my bid and also saying how, even though I didn’t reach my target, it’s been a great experience and I’d recommend it to anyone else thinking of taking the plunge with crowd funding. I never thought I’d be writing a very different post, one of success!

My pitch ended at midnight last night and I’m delighted to say that I not only made my target of £1300, I exceeded it. I was in shock for most of yesterday afternoon as I’d reached the target just after lunch and I honestly didn’t know what to do with myself except say thank you a million times to everyone.

I had a lot of help from wonderful people who tweeted and shared my pitch and sent lovely messages of support. You are all fabulous and I can’t say thank you enough.

So what happens now? Firstly I need to process all this in my mind, what a week to take it all in as I move into my new studio a week on Wednesday! But the real planning begins now, I need to finish the designs for a start and make a very long list of all the rest of the things I need to do.

Thank you also to everyone who has put up with me promoting my pitch like crazy, I hope I haven’t annoyed you all too much.

One more time – T H A N K  Y O U !

I totally forgot to pledge some money – too much going on at work and home for my brain to remember. Is it too late now?

Hi Nikki, I’m afraid the pitch ended at midnight last night so I can’t take any more money via Crowdfunder, email me and let me know what reward you were interested in though and we’ll see what we can do :)
