I can’t remember the last time I bought any yarn!!! (pause for tumbleweed rolling down the road) I think it must be that eco yarn I bought a couple of months ago.  Scarcely a week used to go by without me spending £20-£30 a week on yarn.  How depressing is that?  I also had to think when the last time I actually bought myself any clothes or accessories either when I finally purchased a new Cath Kidston bag on pay day last week!  It’s lovely and it’s full of old Rowan magazines at the moment as I’ve been taking them in to work to show the other knitting crazy people I work with.  How lovely it is?

It’s a gorgeous dusky pink colour and a much larger version than the old book bags Cath Kidston used to produce.  I’m spending so much time, money and effort trying to get the business off the ground that I’ve really stopped my spending.  I came up with a great idea though whilst doing my inventory, go through my old yarn stock and remember a few gems from before, so here are some of the things I’ve found:

Isn’t it lovely to find such treasures, it’s like buying them all over again!

It is totally possible to get withdrawals from buying yarn and I can identify with that myself at the moment. Just think, as the business gets going you’ll make more money and be able to buy more yarn, so investing time and money in the business will be worth it in the long run.

Is that some Colinette Mohair I saw there? I think I’ve got some of that in the exact same colour languishing at the bottom of my stash at the moment. Maybe I need to start becoming reaquainted with my past purchases and start knitting them.

Yes it is Colinette Mohair – the colour is marble – isn’t it gorgeous! I think we should all delve in to our stash sometimes, it’s like Christmas all over again!
