Saturday’s Spring Fling went just about as well as I could have ever hoped for! The day was a complete success and over 550 Sheffield folk turned out to see us which was great to say it was raining on and off for most of the day!
I had a lot of fun and it was great to be able to meet so many lovely new people. I was also extremely happy to see so many of our members with their fantastic stalls, for some of them it was their first craft fair although you wouldn’t know it to see the quality of their displays.
Another mini-miracle happened, someone actually managed to get me to pose for a photograph. The photo is a beautiful shot, only thing that ruins it is that I’m in it!!! Here it is:
Believe me, this isn’t something you’ll see again any time soon, I HATE having my picture taken, I’m surprised I didn’t crack his camera lens!
I did really well with sales too which I have to thank my hubby for mainly because I was always popping off my stall and checking everyone else was ok. It’s definitely stressful to organise a fair and have a stall at the same time. I didn’t realise until I got home but I took more than I ever have done at a craft fair which is strange because other stall holders said the same thing to me on Saturday! Even though we’re in a recession it doesn’t seem to stop people buying quality craft.
I even managed to buy a few things including a lovely print by Katy Holmes who came from York to have a stall at the fair. I absolutely love it, go check out her Etsy shop for other fantastic illustrations!
Thank you to everyone who visited and thanks again to all the stall holders for making the day so successful! xx
