I forgot to take pictures of these at Christmas so when I popped up to my parents tonight for my dad’s ‘Fish & chips’ birthday meal I took the camera!
I knitted these from a pattern in the Holiday Gifts 2007 Interweave Knits magazine and my parents loved them.  The pattern is called Garter Mug Cozies by Cathy Carron and I made 2 of these out of one ball of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran.

I love these. I may have to look for the magazine to find the pattern. Is there a loop to hook on the cup handle?

Thanks for linking to my blog!

Hi there! It’s not a loop – you create an edge by casting off then you cast back on to form a tie which you then tie above the handle. I’d definitely recommend them – they keep you hands from getting burnt on a hot cup of tea – and they keep your drink warm at the same time!

I love this design, I’m working on different ideas for coffee cozies using my felted sweater remnants and I am defintely going to try something like this.
