These last couple of weeks have been very busy, I’m finishing the last batch of fabrics to send to the heat setters next week so there hasn’t been much time for anything else.  Here is a peek at what I’ve been printing in the studio…

Whilst waiting for the fabric to dry, I’ve been working on my packaging for my sample packs.  I’ve always sent out samples either in a little stack which is then sewn together, or when selling them to the public, they are sent out in a biodegradable cellophane packet which is eco friendly, but not quite as pretty as I’d like it to be.  At the moment I’m just concentrating on the sample packs that are sent out when fabrics are requested but I hope to develop this into something I can use for my packs in my Etsy shop too.  The fabric swatches are about 4 inches square and I’ve designed some cute new packaging which wraps them up in a sweet little envelope.

I love choosing different papers and cards and as a notebook addict, collecting really interesting and unique papers is all part of the fun.  I’ve chosen some really lovely papers which are made from waste from the Beer industry, they are in wonderful colours, all named after different Beers.  To finish I have some stickers to seal up the pack, I had to settle for just my initials as Waterhouse is a very long name.

That’s all for now, on with the printing.

All the fabrics are so lovely! I might just have to revise my budget to see if I can splurge on some fabric for pillows soon…!
