Well, I’ve been a pathetic little pile of headachy silliness for a few weeks now but I finally trotted off to the doctors on Monday to be told I have a virus.  Do doctors just say that when they have no idea what is wrong?  He’s told me to take it easy for a few days and yesterday I spent all day snoozing gently on the sofa and half-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 7!

I’ve really wanted to do some knitting but I knew that I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on it (or that it might make my headache worse!) so I haven’t touched my needles since Sat.  This is why I’ve gone all quiet on the Gretel and Sophie front.  I have to finish them soon though because my local friendly lys has informed me that my Sublime Cashmere silk aran for my Snow White top has arrived! Yippee!!  I definitely have to get that finished before the weather gets too warm.

Did everyone here in the UK feel the earthquake last night?  Here in Sheffield we had a right little tremor!  Everything rattled and fell off my nightstand.  Even the wardrobe rattled and moved!  My sis is in Dronfield though and she didn’t feel it so much – she’s probably got a better built house!  At least no one was hurt too badly in the UK.  Also there were no yarn related traumas to speak off – a few disturbed balls of wool that’s all!

Now I’m trying to decide what to do today.  I had planned on Monday to go to Darley Dale out in the Peak District to take some nice pics and visit Heirs and Graces, a lovely little knitting and patchwork shop.  Am a bit headachy again though so not sure it’s a good idea.   I can’t over do it either – I have my sewing class tonight and being all tired and poorly is not fun at 8pm!

(Coming soon – more eco yarns reviews! I spent much dinero last week!)
