I’ve been a busy little bee this past week preparing for a couple of upcoming fairs, the first of which was Woodseats Craft Fair today.  I grew up in Woodseats and am on the Woodseats Festival committee so I really enjoying taking part in this fair – it’s always a good day out!

I was experimenting with different stall displays this time – what do you think?

Woodseats Stall 11th July

I always think my stall looks a little sparse so I got my wonderful hubby to build me a little wooden shelf, well three to be exact.  He used some old shelves we used to have up on the wall in the old house but to be honest they are a little narrow so they are having a second life here on my stall!  I need some fabric to cover them though so it doesn’t just drape over messily which it did a little today, must try and get to town to get some before next weeks fair!

Here is a full shot of the table, it’s an improvement from my usual layout but still not great.  I thought I’d try to crowd the table a little more this time so I put out more stock, it looks a little messy here as I didn’t tidy it up before I took the photo and you know how things get moved around a little when people browse!

I don’t like the big gap up the side of the shelf though – I need some height in front of the shelf too I think – oh well, it’s all an experiment and something to work on for next week!

A couple of friends were there today too – Abi and Yvonne, fellow Craft Candy members.

Here’s Abi and her sock monsters – I had my eye on one particular cutey but really have to watch the pennies!

Yvonne’s stall always looks good – even if she was a little worried that the table was a little big!  Here she is showing off her new iphone – I wish I had one!

So now it’s action stations this week – lots more stock to make as well as finishing up all of the organising for Candyfloss next Saturday – don’t forget to pop down to the Millennium Gallery next Saturday, 18th July 10-4pm!

Yes – I just had a look at your previous stall photo’s and it definitely gives your stall more impact with having the bright pink fabric over the shelves :D Good job!
